Transform buckeyetraffic.org into a highly utilized, mobile-optimized digital experience used by commuters throughout Ohio. Following a comprehensive discovery phase, we created a new brand, designed and developed a multi-faceted web and mobile app experience with the power to revolutionize how commuters receive real-time traffic info.
Since launch, OHGO has gained more than 73,000 users and delivered over 750 million user-requested push notifications. ODOT won project of the year award for the mobile app within the industry and CWT took home an Addy Award celebrating the mobile app sure to be a success for years to come.
The in-depth discovery phase provided insights that fueled a very thoughtful, strategic approach to the new brand, design and development. This included an extensive national competitive and best practice assessment, stakeholder interviews and primary research that included surveying Ohio commuters specifically regarding real-time travel experiences. Secondary research was also completed on a study regarding the commuters’ interests and opinions of the Ohio Department of Transportation relative to real-time traffic information. Critical insights and user personas resulted from the Discovery.
A new brand strategy and identity was brought to life following the insights and strategic recommendations, including the creation of the new brand persona, a memorable new logo, user-friendly graphic icons for the visual language and a fun, modern color palette and identity.
An award-winning mobile-first strategy was applied to three visually engaging, truly innovative concepts — all which offered an inventive approach to navigation and at-a-glance traffic conditions. The web experience is optimized per each device including mobile, tablets and desktop views.
We designed and developed a smart, highly personalized and user-friendly app with features and capabilities you can’t find on the web or among the competition. The most notable feature includes the ability to personalize routes from A to B for real-time info sent to your phone via push notifications.
A variety of digital ads were created to raise awareness, drive online users and drive increased mobile app downloads.
