Reimagine The Ohio State University’s largest college, Arts and Sciences, with a website redesign to primarily help drive new student acquisition. With four target audiences and the college supporting 80+ majors and minors — from dance to biology — it was imperative that the redesign catered to various needs and desires in a simplified experience. We strategically created a site that engaged all audiences and helped students find the major right for them.
We began with an intensive discovery phase complete with consumer research, stakeholder interviews and a competitive and best practice assessment. With many insights on our four target audiences — prospective students and parents, current students, alumni and faculty — we worked strategically to determine the ideal information architecture for a user-friendly experience.
A responsive design and highly-customizable content management system enabled stories to be quickly and easily updated throughout the site. We also created “Discover Your Path,” a custom-built tool that helps new and current students choose the major best suited for them based on their interests and skills.
